San Luis Obispo County Prosecutors Association Endorses Dan Dow for DA
Rank and File Deputy DAs Cite Leadership, Work Ethic and Steadfast Commitment to Keeping Communities Safe
San Luis Obispo – The Association that represents San Luis Obispo County Deputy District Attorneys has overwhelming voted to endorse District Attorney Dan Dow for re-election.
“We are endorsing Dan for re-election because we continue to see up close and personal that he is clearly the right person to seek justice for crime victims and their families in San Luis Obispo County. Dan works relentlessly to fight for justice in our communities,” noted Deputy District Attorney Andrew Baird, a 40 year veteran prosecutor.
The group also noted Dow’s diverse background in re-affirming their support for the District Attorney. Dow has worked for years in the business community, in the military and as an experienced prosecutor. This depth of experience gives him the the perspective necessary to best face the mounting challenges of being our county’s top crime fighter. Baird added, “Dan continues to prove that he uniquely possesses the necessary collaborative skills to both provide steadfast leadership for Deputy DAs and work closely with our local police agencies.”
During his tenure as DA, Dow and his team of Deputy District Attorneys have successfully achieved justice for thousands of crime victims and their families. San Luis Obispo County continues to maintain its status as one of the safest counties in California. Dow is a proven prosecutor with a distinguished career that focused on prosecuting domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse crimes, including homicide where he seeks to bring justice for victims of particularly devastating crimes. Dow is also an Army veteran and a bronze star recipient who served in Iraq, Korea and Kosovo.
