Councilman Kris Vardas Endorses Dan Dow for District Attorney
Momentum Continues for the Front-Runner
San Luis Obispo – Candidate for San Luis Obispo County, Dan Dow has received the endorsement of Pismo Beach City Councilman Kris Vardas. Councilman Vardas is the second member of the Pismo Beach City Council to support Dow’s campaign, joining longtime community leader Ed Waage.
As Dow has received the support of every law enforcement association that has endorsed in the race to date, as well as every member of the Atascadero City Council and numerous other local elected officials. It is clear that Dow has positioned himself as the frontrunner for June.
“As Deputy District Attorney, Dan has demonstrated his dedication to the community by prosecuting important cases like child abuse and sexual assault,” said Councilman Vardas. “I am confident that Dan is the best choice to manage that office and ensure the safety of our communities.”
In addition to his work in the courtroom, Dan Dow is a United States Army Veteran and dedicated volunteer for the community. He regularly speaks at Women’s Shelters to provide financial and emotional support to victims and was instrumental in the construction of SLO’s Veterans Treatment Court.
As the next District Attorney for San Luis Obispo County, Dow will continue his pursuit of justice, while ensuring the county remains a safe place to live, work, and play.
Dan and his wife Wendy, a local small business owner and reading instructor, have been married for 21 years. They have two children, Chloe, age 8 and Jedidiah, age 6.
